About Dennisah

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I help Black women, BIPOC, the Queer community, individuals and couples navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, communication issues, and life transitions. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, safe, and understood while we work together to help you heal, build healthy boundaries, and create more secure and fulfilling relationships.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique experiences. I am direct but gentle, and I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and other modalities through a trauma-informed lens. Together, we’ll explore patterns, build emotional awareness, strengthen communication, and develop practical tools that support lasting change both individually and within your relationships.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re ready to begin your healing journey or are simply curious about whether we’d be a good fit, I’d be honored to connect with you. I welcome you to reach out for a consultation to see how we can work together.
