“Over and over, the answer is the same, isn’t it? Love, love, love. The salve and the cure. In order to become a better person, I had to do something utterly unintuitive. I had to reject the idea that punishing myself would solve the problem. I had to find the love.”

About Amanda

Hi! I’m Amanda, a graduate student at DePaul University pursuing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As a queer individual, I am passionate about creating a therapeutic space that is free of shame and grounded in authenticity, joy, and self-expression.

My approach is personable, holistic, and collaborative. I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques to meet each client where they are, tailoring the work to their unique needs. I believe healing is rooted in connection- whether with ourselves, with others, with community, or with nature. As a lifelong artist and dancer, I honor the wisdom of the body and recognize that our stories live not only in our minds but also in our physical selves.

I work with individuals and couples who want to explore their identities, relationships, gender, and sexuality. Together, we can navigate communication challenges, deepen understanding within relationships, and strengthen your connection with yourself. We’ll work together to help you feel more grounded, confident, and capable.

I understand how deeply our lived experiences shape us, and I strive to create a space where you feel truly seen, supported, and celebrated. Above all, I believe therapy should be a flexible and honest collaboration. It would be my honor to work with you, wherever you are on your journey.
