As a couple and family therapist, my passion lies in helping teens, couples and individuals understand the intricate roles that culture, family of origin, social expectations, and more play in the concerns that bring them to therapy. Trained in systemic thinking, I am acutely aware of how systems in this country have affected our ability to live mentally and physically healthy lives. I want you to know that you are not stupid, crazy, or damaged- actually, you possess numerous untapped strengths that will help you overcome the challenges you are facing.

I prioritize using a compassionate and collaborative approach, which fosters self-forgiveness, self-acceptance, and increased self-worth. I aim to help my clients develop more meaningful and open relationships with themselves and others, nurturing a sense of connection and understanding. I specialize in working with Latinx immigrants and children of immigrants who consider themselves broken natives- people that don’t fit in with the culture they immigrated from or the one they have come into. My clients often say they are too “white” to be Latinx or “too brown” to be American. My Mexican-American identity lends itself to a special understanding and interest in working with the BIPOC community. I received my Masters in Coupe and Family Therapy from Adler University, and am Gottman Level 1 trained. My supervisor is Grace Martin, LMFT, Founder of the practice and an AAMFT approved supervisor.

I have had the privilege of working with individuals from a wide array of cultural backgrounds, each facing unique challenges such as life transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma, and identity exploration regarding ethnicity, race, gender identity, and sexual orientation. I am dedicated to providing unwavering support, empowerment, and a listening ear throughout your journey to well-being.
