Daniel Trinidad
Hello, my name is Daniel Trinidad, a counseling intern dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your challenges and work toward meaningful change. My approach to therapy is rooted in a blend of person-centered, strength-based, and psychodynamic modalities, allowing us to work collaboratively to understand the root causes of your struggles and focus on your unique strengths.
I focus on working with individuals facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, identity exploration, race-related and cultural issues, and navigating LGBTQ+ concerns. My goal is to create a space where you can be fully seen, heard, and validated, while we work together to explore your inner world and find ways to move forward with clarity and purpose.
I believe that each person is inherently resourceful, and I strive to empower you to tap into your own strengths. With my psychodynamic approach, we will explore how past experiences shape the present, while incorporating a person-centered approach to ensure you feel supported and accepted every step of the way. Also, with my strength-based approach, we will help build resilience and develop a deeper sense of self-worth.
In our sessions, you can expect a space filled with warmth, humor, and positivity. I bring a direct approach to our work by providing clear guidance while also maintaining a genuine and compassionate connection. My goal is to help you uncover the insights and tools that will enable you to live a more authentic and fulfilling life.
I received my BA in Human Development and Learning from University of Illinois at Chicago and I am currently working on my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northeastern Illinois University. I am supervised by Samantha Arroyo, LCPC. In my spare time I enjoy dining out and experiencing new cuisines, going to concerts and music festivals, reading, going on nature walks and hikes, and traveling.
Remember you are the main character of your story, I am simply the side character helping you to become the best version of yourself. I look forward to joining you on your journey of growth and healing.
