Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Inkera sees clients Virtually and in our Downtown office

As a woman of color, I work to deconstruct the therapeutic space and encourage new ways to break through the systemic barriers woven into our life stories. I love to assist couples in navigating through complex trauma, infidelity, intimacy issues, and family dynamics. I use a narrative approach to bring a voice to each person’s experiences in the room and cultivate a shared meaning and discover the ideal story of your relationship. Accessing wounded pieces to be seen and heard can become complicated, especially when navigating internal turmoil with our partners, so I also employ an Emotionally Focused Therapy approach (EFT).

I enjoy working with couples, families, parents, and individuals focusing on BIPOC and marginalized populations. The therapeutic space with me will always be a collaborative experience. Together, we will explore the broader context of your experiences and work towards overcoming obstacles. My supervisor is Brittney Brooks, LMFT.

With my B.S. in Journalism with a minor in Philosophy from Lincoln University, I found my passion for stories and poetry. I obtained my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Adler University, which helped me cultivate a space for unheard and erased stories and experiences. Ultimately, my mission is to help you build a resilient and authentic story that honors your past, embraces the present, and looks forward to a future filled with hope and possibility.
