Jayla Harrison
I believe our therapeutic relationship is the most important foundation for your growth and healing. If you are ready to engage in the hard work of self-discovery, are open to asking for help, and are willing to challenge behavior patterns that hold you back, you are in the right place. My goal is to use my training, interpersonal skills, and therapeutic expertise to help you overcome obstacles and live a fulfilling life with healthy relationships.
I’m a compassionate therapist with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I also hold a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. I have experience working in community mental health, helping individuals navigate challenges related to anxiety, emerging adulthood, college transitions, self-esteem, relational issues, boundary work, and more. I particularly enjoy working with college-aged individuals, young adults, teenagers, couples, and people of color.
I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Relational Therapy to help clients build emotional resilience, develop healthier thought patterns, and explore how past and present relationships influence their well-being. My approach is empathetic, collaborative, and tailored to meet your unique needs—whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or seeking personal growth. My supervisor is Elana Thomas, LCSW.
Outside of therapy, I geek out on articles supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and applied behavior analysis. You can also find me running 5Ks with friends, watching my favorite movie Love Jones, or taking a nap with my puppy, Ollie! We can meet for a 15-minute consultation to see if working together is a good fit- I look forward to hearing from you!
