“If you’re struggling to cope with past traumas, I can help you identify how this is showing up in your present and offer the tools that will create the path to your desired future.”
Healing as an individual and within families can be a complex idea to comprehend. It can also be hard to imagine a reality where we are existing in the changes we may seek. I believe that by collaborating and highlighting strengths, systemic psychotherapy modalities, and psychoeducation, I can assist you, your relationship, or your family in reaching your goals.
A Chicago native, born and raised on the west side of the city, I have experienced the best and dark sides of humanity. Along with the beauties of Chicago communities, I also experienced systemic oppression directly. Most of my life is filled with experiences in grassroots community work, activism, and social services. Cultivating safe spaces and specializing in BIPOC children and youth, I can assist any individual or family structure in overcoming the intersectionality that exists within their personal identities, as members of their communities, and as members of grander society. By redefining and decolonizing the ideals of therapy and uplifting the pressures that therapy stigmas may bring, I’m passionate about walking alongside you as we unpack and rebuild together. Although I am an MFT family Therapist, I am deeply committed to partnering with kids, individuals, and couples, and helping them reach their fullest potential and gain new insight within their relationships and within themselves.
Combining my disciplines and work experiences, I have the knowledge needed to support systems and individuals in their therapy journey. I am open to all identities, have a vast exposure to diverse cultural backgrounds, and am affirming of all orientations. My Supervisor is Brittney Brooks, LMFT. I bring over 10 years of experience working with high-risk children and Youth ages 0 to 21, including 6 years within the DCFS field and 7 years of experience in in-home care with family units throughout the community. I am confident that I can help you, your relationship, and your family on the journey of healing and reaching your desired fullest potential.
