"The absence of illness is not wellness."
One of my favorite quotes is “the absence of illness is not wellness.” It reminds us that feeling better isn’t solely about healing from our past or suppressing the feelings that ail us, but that wellness is an active and intentional process that requires a commitment to self. What practices are we putting in place to sustain better? Are we working toward something meaningful, or simply running from discomfort? Most importantly, do we have the grace and self compassion necessary to get us where we are going? Let’s work through the hard together and move toward a life where wellness becomes the foundation for your self-actualization.
My aim has always been to empower people and couples to be the best versions of themselves through deep listening, collaboration, goal setting, and leaning on the strengths of my clients and our relationship.
Therapy can be more than where we go to stay afloat. It can and should be where we go to self-actualize and establish deeper connections to those that we love. I look forward to hearing your story, walking alongside you during our journey, and celebrating your successes.
Lastly, I deeply enjoy holding space for couples and I am also experimenting with a new format I am calling Friends Therapy where I hold space for friends to get to know each other on a deeper level and create opportunities and insights for them to show up better for themselves and each other.
