Lee Rotem
Are you a parent experiencing identity issues? Do you feel weighed down by societal and familial expectations and affected by emotional labor imbalances, big life changes, or burnout? I believe that a warm and collaborative therapy space is the essential for self-reflection and for finding courage to make changes, while feeling supported and seen. I integrate a psychodynamic lens with a solution-focused process to achieve your goals. I am certified in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and practice this as well as Emotionally Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I am passionate about navigating the many life transitions in personal and professional realms, including perinatal and postpartum adjustment and transition to parenthood. I am sex-positive, LGBTQIA+, Kink, BDSM and Poly-affirming and take pride in creating a safe space for my clients to feel comfortable sharing intimate details about themselves.
I received my masterβs degree in counseling at Northwestern University, after many years as a writer and a journalist. I believe that our stories give our lives their true meaning. I will walk beside you as you find out where your story takes you, and whatever your happy ending looks like. I attend supervision with Carly Novoselsky, LCPC. In my own life story, I have lived and studied abroad and can offer services in both English and Hebrew.
Please schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your concerns and treatment needs.
