About Yedidia

I work with women who are caring for others and want to feel an increased sense of ease with life. You might be working in a caregiving field, caring for your loved ones from your home, or possibly a rock for your friends or family. Maybe you’re giving and feeling a bit burnt out or you lead with care and nurturing because you feel that’s what you’re supposed to do. The load might be feeling heavier than you want lately or imbalanced between what you’re giving and what you feel you’re receiving. I want to find ways with you to not shut down, withdraw, or feel out of control with your emotions because of this and feel more connected and grounded instead.

With me, you’ll feel encouraged and also challenged to use your agency to shift this load, bit-by-bit. We’ll be curious, collaborative and use your strengths as we work through fear or other emotional obstacles. You’re likely already creative, self-aware, capable, and want to keep trying to improve your life. I can meet you in therapy to improve emotion regulation skills, awareness of your needs, and clarity so your feelings can turn into actions that leave you with less guilt, overwhelm, shame, or resentment and more peace, connection, and satisfaction. It will take time and effort, but with every step forward, you might feel relief, wondering, “Why didn’t I do this sooner?”

I draw mainly from methods that help you process in the moment and rewrite the story of your life. I work with adults, adolescents, families, and couples of all identities and sexual orientations on the topics of anxiety, OCD, self-worth, communication, sexual and intimacy issues. My approach is informed by my Bachelor’s degree in Learning and Organizational Change with a minor in Psychology from Northwestern University, Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University, and a life philosophy that acknowledges that life is precious.

Let’s work together to increase the sense of ease in your precious life. Reach out, and we’ll see what we can do together.
