Are you feeling confused, overwhelmed, and hurt by the ways your child is acting at home lately? As a parent, often it feels like you come last and nothing you do for your kids is right. As a child and family therapist, I understand the profound importance of nurturing strong connections between parents and children. I believe that one of the greatest gifts we can offer our community’s children is the strength, support, and encouragement to be their true selves. Like all of us, children thrive when they feel seen, valued, and validated in their feelings, emotions, and behaviors.

My approach is compassionate and trauma-informed. Sessions may include movement, art, play, games, and other creative activities to help children connect with their bodies and express themselves fully. I work closely with parents as they navigate the complexities of caring for their children while also nurturing their own well-being and relationship. Confident parents create confident children, and I’m here to help you build on your strengths and develop new strategies to sustain a calm, secure, and supportive home.

When you come to session, we’ll work together to help you see and celebrate your value as an individual, partner, and parent, creating lasting, positive change for your family. With years of experience in therapeutic classrooms, daycare centers, housing shelters for at-risk youth and families, and as a prevention specialist in middle and high school settings, I bring a well-rounded, informed approach to my practice. I specialize in working with young children experiencing anxiety or behavioral concerns, supporting new parents and coparents, and providing perinatal and postpartum mental health support. My expertise also includes couples work around communication and intimacy, healing family of origin attachment wounds, and helping young adults navigate issues of self-esteem, identity, and societal expectations.

I earned my B.A. in Family and Human Services, along with Spanish, from the University of Oregon and my M.A. in Couple and Family Therapy at Adler University. I also hold a certification in Trauma-Informed Care from St. Vincent DePaul and am a proud member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). My supervisor is Brittney Brooks, AMFT. With many years of experience working with young children and families, I am confident that I can help you thrive!
