COMMUNITY RESOURCES

Our practice tries to accommodate clients with all needs by diversifying our clinician specialties and accepting most major insurance plans. We are working on getting our nonprofit in network with Medicaid. In the meantime (and always!), we are proud to recommend Oak Park's longest standing nonprofit community mental health center, Thrive Counseling Center, as an organization that accepts Medicaid and Medicare and is staffed by wonderful, caring humans!

This is a comprehensive list of resources for the LGBTQIA+ community, from mental health providers such as our practice to housing, retreats, goods and services, and medical providers.

If you identify as a Black woman or girl and are in need of financial assistance to see one of our therapists, please apply to the Loveland Foundation Therapy Fund to potentially receive 4-12 FREE therapy sessions sponsored by the foundation.

The Phoenix Clinic at CCRC provides low-cost mental health care to the Chicagoland community. It is staffed by paid interns, and provides a learning environment for them as well as a healing space for their clients. Our founder, Grace Martin, is on the board of directors for this nonprofit.

As relational therapists, we know the damage that can be done over generations from contentious, unhealthy divorces that put children in the middle of a battleground. This is why we encourage our clients who are seeking divorce to use mediation instead of litigation if at all possible. Solace Divorce is a holistic mediation firm that offers emotional, spiritual, an social support for couples and their families who are going through divorce.

If you are looking for a Black female therapist, community events or sliding scale therapy, we can't recommend Sista Atya enough! This practice seeks to free Black women from psychological and physical illness through mental health care that focuses on the whole person.
