You deserve to lead a life that allows you to step outside of your trauma, distress, and insecurities.Together we can work to create a reality that is hopeful and transformative. I believe that joy and pain can be experienced simultaneously, and I strive to support my client's realization of this through education, tangible coping skills, and thought-provoking activities in session.

I specialize in working with Black women who struggle to feel seen and heard while tending to wounds created by unrealistic societal expectations. However, I maintain the ability to work with individuals with histories of trauma, anxious thoughts, depressive feelings, and couples experiencing communication issues. I am also passionate about working with teenagers and emerging adults aged 18-26. Our sessions will involve holding space for who you have been, and who you are, while challenging you to see who you’ve always had the capacity to be. As a Spelman-educated therapist, I understand the need for Black women to have safe spaces to show up as they are, instead of who they have been told to be. Together we will tend to each wound created by past trauma, discrimination, negative thoughts, and limiting beliefs.

I am a qualified mental health professional with five years’ of experience providing care to diverse groups of individuals. I received my BA in Psychology from Spelman College and earned a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University. My comprehensive academic and clinical background grants me the ability to work with families and couples experiencing a range of stress-related concerns and conflicts. My supervisor is Elana Thomas, LCSW.

I would love to set up a free 15 minute consultation to get an understanding of your therapeutic needs and expectations!
