“The secret of life, though, is to fall seven times and get up eight times.”
It is one of my greatest privileges to work alongside my clients in a collaborative effort to enhance their mental and emotional well-being, whatever that may look like. My clients can feel free to come as they are. My mission is always to curate a nonjudgmental, welcoming, and curious environment. My experience includes supporting individuals and families struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and loss, as well as life transitions, surviving community violence, and trauma. Through my experience, I have found a passion for working with teens and emerging adults in the BIPOC community.
I am a Black/Multiracial woman. I welcome all identities, religions, ages, and political perspectives. As a passionate, empathetic, and nonjudgmental therapist, I am here for you. I utilize a person-centered, strengths-based, and solutions-focused approach that is uniquely tailored to each client I interact with. Throughout my professional career thus far, I have received training in Mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Talk therapy, Motivational interviewing, and Trauma-Informed care.
We will work together to build and cultivate a relationship and treatment plan that works for your needs. I believe in a holistic approach to healing that will emphasize your emotional, professional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
I have a Masters in Social Work from Roberts Wesleyan University. I am licensed in New York and Illinois. I am currently working towards my clinical license under the supervision of Gabriela Flores, LCSW. As a lifelong learner, I will always be working to utilize the most current and evidence-based resources available.
I offer business hours, weekends, and evening sessions to ensure clients are able to heal on their own time. If this feels like a good fit, let's start with a consultation! Thank you for considering me; be proud that you took this step.
