Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

My name is Joan Ajide, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, board certified by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). I have over 20 years of nursing experience in both acute and primary care settings treating various age groups with psychiatric illnesses.

I currently manage and treat adolescents and adults virtually with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder(s) and ADHD. I am very passionate about helping individuals take ownership of their health by providing appropriate psychoeducation. I incorporate conventional and alternative treatments for the best patient outcomes possible. I emphasize lifestyle and behavioral modification and the use of therapy to improve mental health. I spend time educating patients so that they can make the right decisions regarding their health.
