Charlotte Holley
In making the decision to seek therapy and ask for help, you have already taken the most difficult step in this work. Change is hard.
I like to begin therapy by honoring your expertise on your own experience. Reintroducing clients to themselves through our collaborative work can clarify values, and their connection or disconnection, between your internal compass and behaviors.
I believe society fosters a narrow understanding of health and wellbeing. As a result, people suffer — feeling marginalized, untethered, and unfulfilled.
My clinical approach is designed to support you in creating a practical toolkit that will help you make changes in your daily life.
My clinical interests include depression and anxiety, grief and ambiguous loss, and substance use disorders. I enjoy working with clients of all ages, especially adolescents and emerging adults. I also work with couples and families. I am passionate about equity and justice oriented spaces.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois - Chicago (UIC), and a Master of Social Work from Jane Addams College of Social Work at UIC. Prior to joining the Grace team, I worked in both inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment, and community mental health.
When I am not practicing therapy, I like collecting antiques, crafting and making art, watching scary movies, and hanging out with my two cats, Fern and Silas.
Please reach out via email with questions or to schedule a 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to meeting with you!
